airbornejerm > In order to have any sort of lendth to the joystick stems, i had to route out space to countersink the joysticks (a picture would ahve been nice, i know). This left be virtually no wood to grip the screws holding the joystick base in place, and i trally don't like the bold-head idea on the control panel. This is REALLY ghetto, but it works pretty well.
airbornejerm > mmm, slot-cutting bit. It shipped with some nifty gunk on the blade to keep it from cutting into things/dulling during shipping/handling. Worked like a charm.
airbornejerm > It turns out the tube & board form a 27" tv is really heavy and doesn't have a lot of gripping options. Here Chrissi is holding up the monitor (tv screen) while i much about with the camera. TO keep a grip on it, i threaded some 10guage wire through some eyelets on the metal band/casing around the screen. She held that to make sure the side furthest form me had support, which left me a lot of leeway to place the screen.
